La Roche-Posay Sunscreen 50ml
This fragrance-free sunscreen was the first sunscreen that I could actually use. Before I discovered this I couldn’t find one that my skin didn’t reject.
The formula is really thin and light and it soaks into the skin beautifully. It doesn’t feel sticky or have that horrible sun cream feel.
I loved this sunscreen for a while. Unfortunately, I did find it a bit hit and miss in terms of how my skin reacted. Sometimes I'd have no issue and other times I'd get very dry skin after using it.
My feeling is I became allergic as I used it. I do still use this, but less often than I should. I wear caps instead generally. Obviously, it would be better to protect your skin with SPF. I do still recommend this as it is a lovely product, feels good on the skin and served me well.
The La Roche Posay Sunscreen is quite expensive. The good news is a little bit goes a long way and it is the best I’ve found so far.
How does this bulk fragrance-free sunscreen smell?
This sunscreen does smell quite strongly to me, more so than other fragrance-free skincare products, but it doesn’t smell scented or fragranced, more like chemicals. I do wonder if this is why my skin ended up rejecting this product. See my review for more on that.
I’ve struggled to find a sun cream that smells less than this so I do still recommend it. I do still use it, too. Sometimes I think it helps to switch products so I’m still on the look out for a fragrance-free sun cream to use alongside this one.
How to use this apply this fragrance-free sun cream
Use like any other sun cream. The formula is very thin, like milk, so I recommend applying it directly where you want it. I find a little amount goes a long way.
If applying to the face, you want to position the nozzle down and the product should just come out, squeeze the bottle very gently if you need to, and be prepared to rub it in quickly as it will just glide off your face.
It is a really nice product, a lovely formulation, glossy, and easy to soak in.
You never get that white-smeary sun cream look. I love it!
